Autoreloaded and decided for safe measure to 'let her win' and then beat her, without leveling her at all for the sake of her having more points to being a Jedi, and then life went on. Flicking to the party select, I saw only her profile image disappear complete with the exact 'I am broken, so very broken' message. I didn't level her up and I kept on attacking her until she was supposed to be defeated and stop combat, though for reasons unknown she let out a scream, dropped dead and teenage me gawked in horror. KotOR II was a little more straightforward and a pure bug I was training the Handmaiden in her first duel, or that was the idea. Had a save before I triggered the Galaxy Droid room, otherwise I would have had to start all over. I tried to transit to the Ebon Hawk since that was still an option, but the loadout froze and when I rebooted and kicked in the autosave, I was outside the ship at Manaan and my party was all blanked out, that broken message on each box. I don't particularly know why the KotOR I variant happened, but it happened after a random loading freeze occurred when I had run upon the old Xbox's 'Galaxy Droid' easter egg (essentially like a debug room within the Ebon Hawk, with an odd map of the Manaan Hrakert Rift Base of all places, random swoops/speeders in the ship garage, a missing hyperdrive, and all party members circling the main room's table while the Main Theme played and the aforementioned Galaxy Droid was hovering like a tourist panel to go to any 'planet/locale' in the game, even the Endar Spire and Taris). This happened to me a good decade ago, at least once for both games.
